Since its founding in 1981, The Fieldstone Group of Companies, a small, privately held building operation, has held to the credo that the full value of its homes is directly linked to the quality of life in the surrounding community. It is in this spirit of building communities – not just homes – that the board of directors made a conscious decision in 1983 to create The Fieldstone Foundation.

The Fieldstone Foundation, a separate not-for-profit organization, is funded entirely by a percentage of profits contributed by companies within Fieldstone. Since its inception, The Fieldstone Foundation has provided over 7,000 grants totaling more than $20 million to nonprofit organizations serving children and families, the arts, education, and humanitarian and Christian ministry programs. The Fieldstone Leadership Network was created in 1994 to provide leaders of non-profit organizations with strategic management, networking skills and professional mentoring to become more efficient leaders, managers and fundraisers. Executive directors, staff and board members of 500+ non-profit groups have received this training at little or no cost.
