What Do I Do After I Have Completed All My HomeFitting Choices?

Application of a material or product in your home - While we have many beautiful products and materials available for you to personalize you home, please take into consideration how the items will function with your lifestyle. We offer a variety of products for all areas of your home that range from low to high maintenance. Maintenance can refer to the frequency of cleaning or to refinishing a product. Improper usage or maintenance of a product can result in costly damage. If you are unsure of the maintenance required for a product, please ask the HomeFitting Coordinator or your Warranty Service Representative once you have moved in.

Display samples - We have many samples of products in our showroom. Our samples are intended to represent the average color, quality, shading, marking, and texture of the product(s), but an exact match is not implied nor guaranteed.

Stain grade wood cabinets, staircases & mantels - We believe it is important that you be aware of the characteristics of the wood cabinetry and other wood products in your home. Variations in color and grain patterns are inherent to wood. These variations are considered normal and contribute to the natural beauty of wood. These variations are intensified with clear finishes. While stains do tend to blend wood tones, some color variations should still be expected. There may be shades of white, red, black, gray, or even green areas. We do try to minimize these contrasts; however natural characteristics are not cause for replacement. The variations are broad, but they are what makes wood so beautiful and unique. Over time, wood products can fade, darken or discolor, especially if exposed to sunlight.

Brick and stone fireplace faces - Our brick and stone samples are intended to represent the color, quality, texture and size of the blend, but it is not always possible to represent in a few bricks or stones, all of the slight variations found in full packages, such as four or five hundred bricks. Also, since the cultured stone is intended to replicate natural stone, there is no way of knowing the exact sizes and shapes that will be installed. The mason will determine grout joints at the time of installation based on the stones being installed. Size, shape and coloring of grout joints will vary.

Granite/Marble - Granite and marble are natural products which are composed of various mineral contents which have formed over many centuries. Because these are natural products, they are subject to extreme variation in color, sheen, veining, other irregular markings, such as small cracks, or flaws, as well as texture and fissures, and a variety of other natural properties. Some stone may also have filler. The same type of stone may vary significantly from one shipment to another. Our samples are actual pieces of natural stone, which indicate color and character. No two pieces can be expected to match, even when taken from the same box or quarry. Workmanship related to installations is covered under the Home Builder's Limited Warranty. There is no warranty on natural stone. It is recommended that a regular maintenance program of cleaning and sealing be established after installation. We are not responsible for the durability of natural stone materials or its resistance to cracking, chipping or discoloration.

Note: Stone availability may change at any time, so you should consider alternate colors in the same price category.
