Home Buyer's Guide
Pre-Closing Process
When Do I Sign the Loan Documents and What Are My Responsibilities Following this Event?
About two weeks prior to your Final Homeowner Orientation, Escrow will call your lender and order your loan documents. Once they have received the documents, your escrow officer will call to inform you of the total funds to close and also to set up an appointment for you to sign the documents necessary to close your escrow. Your total funds to close must be wired to the Escrow company or delivered as a cashier's check to your escrow officer.
When all documents are signed and notarized, they will be returned to the lender. The lender will then review the documents for any missed signatures or initials and will ensure all funding conditions have been met.
