Pre-Closing Process
What Is the Fieldstone Quality Inspection Process?
Fieldstone has developed a multi-point inspection program that takes place throughout the construction of your home. There are actually 7 major points of inspections during this time to insure that our field team is meeting our construction and model finish standards. One of the primary goals of this program is to identify any unacceptable quality and finish items as early as possible. This will lead to a more complete and quality home in a timely manner.
While our team and staff conduct these inspections, they will also be tracking all other aspects of the construction process. At times items may appear to be missing or damaged. Such items will most likely be on one of our checklists to be completed and repaired, but such work may occur at a later time. Since you will most likely be visiting your home on occasion and if you notice some of these items, please feel free to complete one of our Homebuyer Feedback Forms to insure that we have all items on our checklists. You can obtain one of these forms from the sales office.
The final step in our quality program is to deliver you a home that is 100% complete at the close of escrow, or what we refer to as “Complete On Delivery.”
Our goal is to have any final items that were identified at the Final Homeowner Orientation, complete within the 5 working days between the Homeowner Orientation and the scheduled close of escrow. Our Warranty team will be asking you to verify and sign a Complete On Delivery Final Acceptance. This process insures that we have completed the items that were included during your Final Homeowner Orientation. If an item has not been completed, it will be transferred to a “Request for Service” form. In such case, the field team will be striving to complete any uncompleted item within the next 5 working days. They will contact you to arrange for entry to the house for completion of items. Then at that point, the team will again ask for your verification of the items completed. This process will lead to a higher quality and level of completeness, without the need for you to be making follow up calls. The only calls after that point should relate to a Home Builder's Limited Warranty item.
