The Sales Process
The End is Near - Are We There Yet?
Fieldstone will contact Escrow approximately two weeks prior to the close of escrow when documents will be ordered and closing statements prepared.
Once escrow has received your loan documents, they will call to set up an appointment for you to come in and sign the documents and deposit your closing funds.
When you meet with the escrow officer, you will be asked to bring a Wire Transfer Confirmation or Cashier's Check made payable to the Escrow company and a valid photo ID such as a driver's license, passport or military ID. Once the loan documents are signed and notarized, they will be sent back to the lender for review and funding. The lender then wires the loan proceeds to Escrow who in turn ensures that the title passes from the seller to the buyer.
The closing of escrow will typically be scheduled on the 5th working day following your Final Homeowner Orientation. These five days give the Field team time to complete any final items that were identified at the Homeowner Orientation. You will then meet the Warranty Representative at your new home to confirm that your home is Complete On Delivery. Assuming that the title company has confirmed the transfer of title has taken place on that day, the Sales Counselor will call you to pick up your keys at the sales office.
Approximately 30 days after the close of escrow, you will receive your grant deed, policy of title insurance and settlement statement showing the financial breakdown of your new home transaction.
Once your escrow has closed your Warranty Representative will be available to help you with any needs or concerns that may arise.
