Wood cabinets in your home have the same finish as fine furniture and should be given the same care and treatment. For daily care, dust with a damp cloth. Washing with water will damage the finish. Periodic use of an appropriate furniture polish is recommended to preserve the beauty of the wood. Minor scratches can be covered with a putty stick that matches the finish of your cabinets. Putty sticks can be purchased at paint or hardware stores.

Periodically use a damp cloth to clean your wood surfaces and apply a light coat of wax.

Apply a small drop of silicone-based lubricant to hinges when necessary.
