Homeowner Orientation
A Homeowner Orientation of your new home will take place after it has been completed and just prior to your escrow closing. A Fieldstone Representative will orientate you through your new home and demonstrate its features. The Homeowner Orientation is your opportunity to inspect your new home. Particular attention should be given to appearance items listed in the First-Year Performance Guarantee section. If any discrepancies or problems are found during the Homeowner Orientation, they will be noted on an inspection form by the Fieldstone Representative and, if possible, corrected immediately or otherwise scheduled for repair or replacement.
An important function of the Homeowner Orientation is to learn how the various features of your new home operate as well as the location of the utility controls and emergency shutoffs. This will help you care for your home and protect it against serious damage.
At the conclusion of the Homeowner Orientation, you will be asked to sign the inspection form indicating that you understand the Limited Warranty (including the First-Year Performance Guarantee standards) and accept your new home subject to any items needing attention.
