Standard Repair |
| Ceiling sags |
A ceiling should not sag more than
1/4" in 10'. |
Reduce sag to less than 1/4"
in 10'. |
| Visible defects such as nail
pops, cracks, and seam lines due to expansion and contraction
of new homes |
Except for nail pops, these are normal
defects. Cracks not exceeding 3/32" in width are
considered acceptable |
Hairline cracks are normal
and can readily be corrected by the homeowner when redecorating.
If nail pops occur, correct the fault only one time during
the first year of occupancy. |
| Defects such as blister in
tape, excess compound in joints, cracked corner beads
or trowel marks |
Defects readily observed by visual
inspection, without resorting to artificial light placement,
are not acceptable. |
Correct such defects to acceptable
tolerance. Excessive compound in joints or trowel mark
defects must be brought to Fieldstone's attention immediately
after occupancy. Corner bead repair will be made one time
during the first year of occupancy. |
