Fill and compact the affected area,
taking care to maintain proper slope and drainage. Fieldstone,
however, is not required to correct conditions caused
by the homeowner or others. |
| Drainage of the site |
Water should flow away from the foundation.
No ponding of water should remain more than 24 hours after
irrigation of rain. |
Fieldstone will be responsible only
for establishing the necessary grades and swales as required
by the local governing body. The homeowner is responsible
for maintaining such grades and swales once they have
been satisfactorily established by Fieldstone. Fieldstone
is not responsible for damage due to homeowner landscaping
or alterations. |
| Settlement or cracking of
floors, stems due to improper compaction |
Small cracks up to 1/8" wide
are normal on concrete foundation walls and floors do
not necessarily indicate a structural deficiency, provided
that no leakage occurs. |
If caused by improper compaction of
the subsurface and/or improper compaction of trenches
under floors corrective action will be taken to repair
cracks to acceptable standards. |
