The Sales Process
Buying a new home can be an interesting and exciting experience for a family. New and important events can occur almost every day. We are aware that the pressure of selling your current home, moving and preparing for the many changes ahead can be difficult at times. The Sales, Construction and HomeFitting® staffs at Fieldstone are skilled at assisting you during this time.
Our team approach to sales assures that you are in good hands. Our Sales team works directly with our home buyers. Please direct your questions to our qualified Sales staff.
Sales Staff - The first person you met in your search for a new home were our Sales Counselors. Your Sales Counselor will be your point of contact during all phases of the purchasing process.
Written Agreements - It is our policy to maintain our commitment to honesty and integrity in all of our transactions.
The Sales Process - How does it work?
Sales Documentation - The sales documentation in a new home community is sometimes intimidating and the volume of paperwork may seem overwhelming. Your Sales Counselor will be there to answer any questions or concerns that you may have as you go through this process.
Seller's Notice - During the home buying process, you will receive "Seller's Notice" which sets forth important milestones for completing the purchase of your new home.
Financing - Fieldstone offers and encourages buyers to use a preferred lender.
Homefitting - Fieldstone has designed the HomeFitting® program to provide you with an opportunity to personalize your new Fieldstone home with a number of specific features.
Framing Walkthrough - Prior to installation of drywall, the Framing Walkthrough will be scheduled. This Walkthrough is voluntary, but we urge you to take part.
Escrow - The Escrow company is a neutral third party whose purpose is to prepare the buyer/seller escrow instructions and to make sure that all conditions are followed by all parties and to hold funds until the title transfers from the seller to the buyer.
Completion - In the Seller's Notice, you will find the Estimated Closing Date. This refers to the date that your new home is projected to be ready for occupancy.
Homebuyer Orientation - A Final Homeowner Orientation of your new home will take place once the home has been completed approximately five working days prior to the closing of escrow.
Closing - Fieldstone will contact Escrow approximately two weeks prior to the close of escrow when documents will be ordered and closing statements prepared.
