* To qualify for the tax credit, a home purchase must occur on or after January 1, 2009 and before April 30, 2010. However, in cases where a binding sales contract is signed by April 30, 2010, a home purchase completed by June 30, 2010 will qualify. For the purposes of the tax credit, the purchase date is the date when closing occurs and the title to the property transfers to the home owner. Restrictions apply. Paperwork for closing must be submitted in a timely manner to receive tax credit. FieldStone is providing tax information that has been obtained from varying sources and this information should not be considered legal or tax advice. For application of the tax credit,
you should seek the advice of the Internal Revenue Service or your tax preparer. The tax credit is refundable. An advice webpage that explains part of this is at: http://www.federalhousingtaxcredit.com. 11.10.09
