World Class Shopping

Famous and Local Treasures

Utah has every kind of shopping experience available, from outlet malls to antique shops and handmade craft stores. Take a stroll through the unique shops on Park City's Main Street, or browse one of the full-size shopping malls in the state: We have what you are looking for, so add these popular shopping destinations to your agenda.

When visiting the big city or the smaller towns and villages, always make sure to peruse the local shops, too. Local First Utah is a nonprofit committed to promoting and sustaining Utah's independent local businesses, and is a great resource to connect you with some of Utah's best ambassadors. Salt Lake City, Park City and Ogden have among the largest local business economies, though other metropolitan areas like Orem-Provo or Logan in Northern Utah and Cedar City or St. George in Southern Utah offer an array of welcoming local shops and restaurants. Smaller towns at the gateway to big adventures like Utah's  5 National Parks, including Moab, Torrey, Boulder, Panguitch, Green River and Helper offer some of the most unique and eclectic shopping experiences. Plan extra time to meet locals and shop local when visiting these small towns with great shopping on your trip to Utah's treasured National Parks.

The Salt Lake Experience

The newest Salt Lake City shopping experience is City Creek Center. Encompassing two entire city blocks, this is the retail centerpiece of one of the nation's largest mixed-use downtown redevelopments. Featuring all your favorite brands across 90 stores as well as restaurants and a bakery, City Creek has a stunning outdoor design with a retractable ceiling for inclement weather, spectacular fountains and a naturalized creek that runs through the galleria. Take advantage of special shopping packages from partnering hotels.

The Gateway is an "open-air contemporary destination" that delivers shopping, dining, and entertainment. The newly-remodeled Trolley Square housed trolleys and electric trains a century ago, but today shoppers can enjoy dozens of boutique stores, gift shops and restaurants, as well as fresh produce at the state's flagship Whole Foods Market. Salt Lake City is also home to Overstock and Sundance outlet stores, where you’ll always find something you love on sale.

Utah's largest shopping mall is South Towne Center in Sandy, featuring 150 stores and restaurants and an amazing indoor carousel. Malls can also be found in Ogden, Layton, Logan, Murray, Orem, Provo, and St. George. Outdoor enthusiasts will marvel at the variety of sporting goods stores, such as Cabela's just off of I-15 in Lehi, near the Outlets at Traverse Mountain. Meanwhile, the 220,000-square-foot Scheels retail shopping experience showcases Utah's largest selection of sports, sportswear, and footwear under one roof. Don't forget Thanksgiving Point, with fantastic shopping spots as well as entertainment sites and restaurants you could spend your whole day here.

Farmington's Station Park is a preeminent mixed-use lifestyle center on Utah's Wasatch Front, and a great stop on any Northern Utah itinerary. The center is easy to access, adjacent to the UTA commuter rail station, Interstate 15, Highway 89, and the Legacy Highway, just 15 miles north of Salt Lake City and Salt Lake City International Airport. The development features more than 100 businesses including a grocery store, yoga studio, cooking school, 108-room Hyatt Place hotel and the University of Utah Health Center.
